Manage staff turns and walk-ins
Keep staff availability and customer turns current without confusing turns with bookings or loyalty visits.

Prepare the shift
Check staff records, service assignments and the Turns settings. Only include staff who are actually available to receive work.
Use the Turns workspace
- Open Bookings → Turns and check the current workday.
- Review who is clocked in, paused or unavailable. A saved staff schedule does not mean the person has arrived.
- Use the add walk-in/customer action for a customer who is actually waiting. Check whether an existing booking should be used instead.
- Select the requested service and eligible staff/turn option shown by the workspace.
- Confirm the intended assignment. Read the next status/action before moving a person to another stage.
- Update the turn when service starts or ends using the available actions so the next person sees the real queue.
Manage a break or shift change
Ask staff to use clock-in/PIN when self clock-in is enabled, or use the manager controls available to the account. Pause for a break, resume on return and clock out at shift end. Do not change service history just to change turn order.
Verify the next assignment
Check that the next available staff member can perform the requested service and is not already committed to another booking. If a queue looks wrong, inspect active filters, clock-in status and the last turn action before manually adding duplicate customers.
Keep records separate
A turn assignment is not a card payment or automatic proof of a loyalty check-in. Record services in Checkout Board when enabled and review the customer's visit before adding any missed check-in.
