Before printing a QR

Confirm the active business and public page settings. Check-in records a visit; it is separate from booking an appointment and from agreeing to marketing.

Prepare the customer page

  1. Open Business Settings → Check-in. Review the supported access, location and check-in rules for the business.
  2. Save any intended changes and open the customer-facing page using the workspace's own link.
  3. Check the business name and branding, phone-entry requirements and completion screen. Only complete a live check-in when you intend to record a real test visit.

Create and test the QR

  1. Open Business Settings → QR poster.
  2. Select the destination: Check-in for recording an arrival, or Booking for making an appointment. Check the preview wording matches that purpose.
  3. Choose the supported poster design and download/export it. Keep the generated link and destination together; an older printed QR will not change because you downloaded another one.
  4. Scan the actual print on a phone. Check the correct business opens and the code remains readable under the desk lighting.
  5. Place the sign where arriving customers can see it and ask staff to explain it in one sentence.

Help a customer and verify the visit

Ask the customer to use their own phone number so the correct profile and reward progress can be found. Help with browser/location prompts when required; never grant permission on their behalf. Check the visit result in Customers or Checkout Board before repeating the action.

If check-in cannot finish

Check internet access, the business QR destination and the message shown on the customer page. A duplicate/cooldown warning may mean the visit was already recorded. Do not keep retrying or create another customer to get around it. Marketing permission remains a separate choice.
