Setting Up In-Store Walk-In Check-In

Use this guide when the business wants customers to check in from a tablet, QR sign, or front-desk device.

Open settings

Prepare the check-in link

The check-in link lets customers identify themselves before or during service.

Estimated time: about 5 minutes to prepare the first device or QR sign.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open the QR Code or check-in access area.
  3. Confirm the public check-in link belongs to the correct business.
  4. Open the link on the device you plan to use.
Use the QR setup area to prepare a clear in-store check-in sign or tablet flow.

Set up an in-store device

A shared tablet works best when it is easy to reach but still supervised by staff.

  1. Open the check-in page on the device.
  2. Increase screen brightness so customers can read it clearly.
  3. Keep the device near the front desk.
  4. Ask staff to refresh the page if it has been sitting open for a long time.

Use a printed QR code

Printed QR material helps customers start check-in from their own phone.

  1. Download or copy the QR code from Settings.
  2. Print it clearly at a size customers can scan.
  3. Place it where walk-in customers naturally stop.
  4. Test the QR code with a phone before using it with customers.

Review the check-in result

After a customer checks in, staff should confirm the visit is understood.

  1. Open Customers to find the customer.
  2. Check recent activity if the customer says they checked in.
  3. Use Turn Assignment when the customer should join the walk-in list.
  4. Contact support if the customer cannot open the check-in page.
