Creating a Booking on Behalf of a Customer
Use this guide when staff need to schedule a customer from inside the workspace.
Open bookingsStart a new booking
Create the booking in the workspace when the customer is not using the public booking page. This keeps the calendar, reminders, and customer history together.
Estimated time: about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Open Bookings.
- Choose the date the customer wants.
- Select an open time on the calendar or choose the new booking action.
- Confirm the service before choosing staff or time.
Enter the customer details
Use the same phone number the customer wants to receive booking updates on.
- Enter the customer name.
- Enter the phone number with the correct country code when available.
- Add email only when the customer wants email updates or receipts.
- Check whether the customer already exists before creating a duplicate profile.
Choose service, staff, and time
The service and staff selection decide which time slots are available.
- Choose the service the customer requested.
- Pick the staff member if the customer asked for someone specific.
- Use Any staff if the customer only cares about the time.
- Confirm the start time, duration, and date before saving.
Confirm with the customer
Before ending the call or front-desk conversation, repeat the booking details.
- Read back the service, date, time, and staff member.
- Tell the customer to watch for the confirmation message if messaging is enabled.
- Save the booking.
- Open Daily Agenda or Calendar Guide to confirm the booking appears in the right place.
