Understanding SMS Tokens and Billing

Use this guide to understand how SMS Tokens support booking alerts, reminders, and customer messages.

Open subscription

Check the SMS Token wallet

SMS Tokens are used when the business sends eligible SMS messages. The wallet helps you see the available balance before reminders or campaigns run.

  1. Open Subscription from the workspace navigation.
  2. Review the SMS Token balance.
  3. Check whether any trial SMS Tokens have an expiration date.
  4. Add more SMS Tokens before the balance gets too low.

Understand when tokens are used

SMS Tokens are for sent SMS messages. Email and in-app notifications do not use SMS Tokens.

  1. Booking confirmations and reminders may use SMS Tokens when SMS is enabled.
  2. Business booking alerts may use SMS Tokens when SMS alerts are enabled.
  3. Marketing SMS requires proper customer permission before it can be sent.

Keep billing actions intentional

Only owners or managers responsible for payment should make billing changes.

  1. Review the plan summary before checkout.
  2. Confirm add-on details before buying SMS Tokens.
  3. Contact support if a payment or token balance does not look right.
