Resetting a Forgotten Account Password
Use this guide when an authorized user forgot their password or cannot access the workspace.
Reset passwordStart the password reset
Use the reset page when you know the email address connected to the Tap2Check-In account.
Estimated time: about 5 minutes, plus email delivery time.
- Open the password reset page.
- Enter the account email address.
- Check the inbox for the reset email.
- Open the reset link and choose a new password.
- Sign in again from /sign-in.
If the reset email does not arrive
Most delays are caused by the wrong email address or inbox filtering.
- Check spelling in the email address.
- Check spam, promotions, and filtered folders.
- Ask the owner or manager which email was used for the account.
- Wait a few minutes before requesting another reset email.
- Contact support@tap2check-in.com if the email still does not arrive.
If the wrong person has access
Treat unexpected access as an account safety issue.
- Ask an owner or manager to review who should use the workspace.
- Reset the password for the affected account.
- Remove or update staff access if the person should no longer use the workspace.
- Contact support if you cannot remove access from the workspace.
After access is restored
Take a few minutes to confirm the account is correct.
- Confirm the correct business appears after sign-in.
- Review Business Profile if the wrong business details appear.
- Review Contact Support if access still looks incorrect.
